- Factory Default or Reset Procedures -

You can perform a factory reset on a Wyse D90Q thin client using one of two methods: from the login or desktop screen, or by using the G-key reset feature. The specific steps may vary slightly depending on the operating system installed on your device.

Method 1: Using the reset option from the shutdown menu
This method requires accessing the shutdown options from the thin client's user interface.
  1. On the desktop or login screen, click the Shutdown button.
  2. Select Restart the system.
  3. Check the box for Reset the system setting to factory default.
  4. Click OK. The thin client will restart and reset to its original factory settings.

Method 2: Using the G-key reset feature
This method forces a factory reset during the boot process and does not require you to log in.
  1. Power down the thin client completely.
  2. Press the power button to turn the device back on.
  3. Immediately begin repeatedly tapping the "G" key on your keyboard.
  4. Continue tapping until you see a prompt on the screen confirming that the system is being reset. The thin client will then restart itself.
  5. After the restart, the device will be at its factory default settings.
Note: If your thin client is in "Lock down mode," the G-key reset feature may be disabled for low-privileged users.
